Dolinianie (Dolinians)

Hear us.

Characteristic for Dolinians are:

  • church music,
  • church music,
  • songs sung during traditional harvest ceremonies.

At present, there are few folk groups in the Sanok region, which to some extent continue the Doliniańskie traditions. Two folk bands operate at the Commune House of Culture in Sanok: Kamraty Folk Band was founded in 1985 in Strachocin. The band's repertoire includes over 100 folk songs. It presents the authentic, traditional folklore of the Pod Sanok village. He actively participates in the cultural life of the Sanok Commune and represents it outside. The comrades try to save the joyful tones of the folk music of the Dolinian region from being forgotten. They appear in traditional Dolinian folk costumes.

Another folk group operating at the Municipal Cultural Center in Sanok is the Liszanian Folk Group. It was established in 2001 in Liszna near Sanok. The founder was Józef Mleczko, who led the team as its manager for the next several years. A distinguished member is also Edward Filipczak, who from the very beginning cared for maintaining old traditions and folk music. The ensemble includes an instrumental band and a singing group whose repertoire mainly presents old melodies and songs from the Sanok area, Carpathian music and feast songs. The band performs at events and secular and church ceremonies organized in the commune and Podkarpacie region.

Pakoszowianie vocal and ritual ensemble is a ritual and vocal ensemble operating at the Circle of Rural Housewives in Pakoszówka. The band was founded in 2012. The repertoire of Pakoszowians includes, above all, rituals related to the life of the inhabitants of the village near Sanok at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as folk, folk and patriotic songs.
