EtnoCarpathia Study Tour

EtnoCarpathia Study Tour

On August 22, we started our wonderful journey around the Polish-Slovak border. Together with bloggers and journalists, we went on a journey in an ethno climate. For the first destination, we chose the picturesque Bukowina Tatrzańska. A welcome dinner with highlander live music awaited our guests. Despite the cool welcome from the mountains, we were rewarded with beautiful views of the morning mist surrounding the mountain peaks. From Bukovina we went to the Slovak Zdiar. And there ... another surprise - the staging of a traditional Zdziarski wedding, which turned out to be one of the greatest attractions of the whole trip. After a grand wedding, it's time for a quiet walk in the Treetops at Bachledka Ski & Sun. Our wonderful friends from Slovakia also welcomed us with, among others, in the Castle in Fintice, in Humenne and natural pools in Sninskie Rybnik. After getting to know Slovak culture and history a bit better, we returned to the Polish side. A visit to the churches in Łopienka and Haczów, the bison farm in Muczne and the tasting of the iconic Boyko coffee in Myczków awaited us there. Towards the end of our adventure, we also visited the Monastery and Foresterium in Zagórze and the Ethnographic Farm in Rogi. For many of our guests it was the first time in this beautiful region, everyone absorbed new knowledge and experience with great attention and curiosity. Everyone, despite being tired, ended this joint journey with big smiles on their faces, new acquaintances and memories, and above all with a great appetite to return and get to know the local people, culture and history better.

We encourage you to do the same - you will surely find something for yourself among our proposals available on the website: etno.visitcarpathia.com :)

The study visit was organized as part of the "EtnoCarpathia" project co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg VA Poland - Slovakia 2014-2020 Cross-border Cooperation Program.
