Greek Catholic church dedicated to the Transfer of the Relics of St. Nicholas

The Greek Catholic Church in Olchowiec is a three-part church of a log structure with a separate chancel and women's gallery. It serves two Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic rites. A unique stone bridge leads to the church.

The first church in Olchowiec was established in 1792. One of the three bells it had is still standing in the temple in its place in 1934, when the old church was pulled down. The new building was severely damaged during the Second World War . Immediately after the war, the inhabitants started security works, interrupted by the operation "Vistula" .

In the 1940s , a large part of the equipment was stolen from the unattended church. Then the church was converted into a church. After 1956, on the initiative of the local population, further necessary repairs were made inside the building. It was not until the 1980s that a new iconostasis was installed in the church, and after 1992 a general renovation was carried out. In 1987, Greek Catholic services were resumed there .

The temple still serves Catholics of two rites - it belongs to the Greek Catholic parish in Komancza and to the Roman Catholic parish in Polany . In 2000, the church returned under the jurisdiction of the Greek Catholic mayor in Przemyśl.

The church in Olchowiec is divided into three parts, it has a separate chancel , nave and women's gallery . The building has a log structure and is oriented according to tradition . The roof of the church has a ridge, reinforced with sheet metal, topped with two domes. The windows of the church are filled with stained glass .
