Hermitage of St. John of Dukla

Hermitage of St. Jana z Dukla is located on the Zaśpit hill (formerly called Korodół). The hermitage was founded in 1769. The present chapel, erected at the beginning of the 20th century, is the third one in the history of this place. After the beatification in 1769, a brick chapel was erected here from the foundation of Maria Amalia née Bruhlów Mniszchowa, but it burned down in 1883. According to the legend of Maria Amelia, Saint John appeared to the owner of Dukla in a dream, instructing her to build a chapel on the site of his hermitage, and so it happened. In its place, in 1887, a wooden chapel was built by Cezary Męciński. The third, preserved to this day, neo-gothic brick chapel was built in the years 1906-1908 thanks to the efforts of the guardian of the Dukla Bernardines, Ambroży Ligas, according to the design of the Bernardine Father Kamil Żarnowski. It contains a polychrome depicting the life of Bl. John, was painted by the Sanok painter Władysław Lisowski.

Hermitage of St. Jana z Dukla is called "Na Puszczy". on the Zaśpit hill; 1.5 km from the Dukla route (along the asphalt road from Trzciana to the car park near the forest. Further on, the path leads to the Hermitage (about 300m). ordering her to build a chapel on the site of her hermitage, which was done In 1769 , during the Confederation of Bar , Maria Amalia Mniszchowa founded a brick chapel, which, however, burned down in 1883.

In 1887, Cezar Męciński built a temporary wooden chapel. There is a wall painting depicting the life of St. John, painted by the Sanok painter Władysław Lisowski.
