Museum of the History of the Bieszczady Mountains in Czarna Górna.

A private museum that collects historical memorabilia from the Polish area of the Bieszczady Mountains

The Bieszczady History Museum in Czarna Górna was established in 2013. Its founders and originators are LeAnn and Rafał Dudka. The museum is a private cultural institution which differs from the state-owned only in funding sources. In this case, the owners are responsible for the proper functioning. The permanent exhibition includes several thousand exhibits from the area of today's Bieszczady and Lesko poviats. The museum also includes items brought from the Sokal region as a result of the border correction in 1951 (the so-called HT action). The permanent exhibition is on display in the former farm building. Four rooms are available to visitors, where they can learn about the history of the Bieszczady Mountains presented through individual sections: the spiritual and material culture of former inhabitants, military activities of World War I and II, industrial development and the time of reconstruction of the Bieszczady after World War II.
