Popular science conference and awarding of prizes to the winners of the CarpathiaEtnoDesign Competition

On October 11, 2021, we had the pleasure to host at the popular science conference entitled "Cultural heritage of the Polish-Slovak borderland", organized by the Regional Museum in Rzeszów, our partner in the project "Etnocarpathia".

The aim of the conference was to summarize research in the field of inventorying the cultural resources of the Polish-Slovak borderland and its former inhabitants: Pogórzany, Lemkos, Bojków and Dolinian and the Slovak Saris, Zemplin and Zamagurie.

In the footsteps of Franciszek Kotula, we set out to explore the ethnographic topics of Podkarpacie and northern Slovakia. We watched archives and resources from the Pogórze region, we researched the Polish-Ruthenian groups of the Sanok region, in the Bieszczady Mountains we followed the Boykos' trail and we got to know the Lemko region of the 21st century.

As part of the event, prizes were also awarded to the winners of the CarpathiaEtnoDesign Competition. The aim of the competition was to design an original pattern, creatively inspired by the design traditions of the former inhabitants of the Carpathians. Congratulations to the winners once again.
