Solińskie Lake is a storage reservoir located in the Podkarpackie Province near the town of Solina. Solińskie Lake has an area of 22 km2 and the largest capacity in Poland - 472 million m³. The maximum depth of the reservoir is 60 m, right next to the dam.

The construction of the dam began in 1960. The main earthworks and foundation works were completed in 1964. In July 1964, the construction of the dam body began. The basic concrete works at the dam were closed at the end of February 1968. At that time, the construction of the power plant building and the assembly of hydropower equipment were in progress. The initial start-up of the first turbine took place on March 9, 1968, and the dam was put into operation on July 20. For larger groups (from 15 people), it is possible to visit the power plant facilities upon prior reservation.

In 2015, the largest mural depicting animals in the world was created on the dam wall. He was "painted" with a pressure washer.

There are many species of fish in the waters of Lake Solińskie. Mainly zanders and perches are present, but also large specimens of asps, bream and roach, pike, catfish, carp and chub. The greatest number of specimens can be found at the crest of the dam, thanks to the fact that tourists fed the fish.

There are several recreational centers near Lake Solińskie, and the spa town of Polańczyk is located on the western shore of the lake. Swimming in the lake is dangerous due to inaccessible shores and numerous underwater obstacles, but there are several designated places where you can swim. There is a silence zone on the entire reservoir (internal combustion engines are prohibited, this prohibition does not apply to the Police and WOPR).

One of the most interesting attractions of the Solińskie Lake, apart from the dam, is a boat trip on the lake, as well as a crossing to Polańczyk.

In virtually all marinas, it is possible to rent sailing equipment, e.g. canoes, rowing boats, pedal boats and even yacht charter.
