Viewpoint on the nature path near the Kamieniec Castle

The nature path at the Kamieniec Castle gives you the opportunity to commune with the animated and inanimate nature of the Montenegrin-Strzyżowski Landscape Park during a pleasant walk and with the beautiful panoramas of the Sanocko-Jasielskie Valley, the Royal Mountain and the Kamieniec Castle.

The nature path "At the Kamieniec Castle" runs through the forests in the south-western part of the Dynów Foothills, which are peculiar in terms of nature. The path's path is a loop with the beginning and end at the same point. The purpose of creating the path is to show the richness of fauna and flora as well as an interesting topography with rock outcrops. In the spring, the vegetation of the forest floor develops abundantly, which allows you to observe many protected plants and listen to the chirping of birds.

In front of the castle hill there is a board informing about the beginning of the nature path "At the Kamieniec Castle"

As we walk we pass the "U Jana" inn and turn right behind its fence onto a dirt road that leads to the entrance to the path.

On the way, we see the Królewska Góra massif (541 m above sea level), the TV tower on Sucha Góra (531 m above sea level) and the ruins of the Kamieniec Castle.

Going further, we see rock outcrops of the Ciężkowice Sandstone covered with a layer of mosses and lichens, with a small grotto called the "Dragon's Den". The famous "Prządki" is also made of such sandstones.

Walking along the stream, you can see a brown trout in the clear water, and on the left side of the road, there is an active amphibian protection station, i.e. a pond, where you can observe amphibian specimens, which we identify with the help of a colored board standing nearby.

On the right, we notice the magnificent Douglas firs, which have been recognized as natural monuments. Leaving the forest above the fields and meadows, numerous species of butterflies and other pollinating insects hover during their flowering.

Heading towards the castle, we end our adventure with an exceptionally charming part of the Czarnorzecko-Strzyżowski Landscape Park.
