Castle in Lesko

The former Kmita family nest of the Szreniawa coat of arms, today it serves as a 3 * hotel and restaurant.

The castle in Lesko, a historic building from the 16th century under the protection of the conservator of monuments, built on a hill surrounded by an Italian-style park, girded with a San ribbon, now adapted for tourist purposes. Due to the history of the building, cubature, architectural style and surroundings, the building is distinguished by its appearance and atmosphere.

The Kmita family castle in Lesko was built after the Hungarians and Wołochs ravaged the Sobień castle near Lesko in 1512. The wooden fortress, erected in 1491, was replaced by a more magnificent structure

The castle suffered during World War I and II. From the fall of 1914 to the spring of 1915, the castle chambers were plundered and destroyed by Russian soldiers who, retreating, set off another fire in the castle. After 1939, the castle was re-occupied by the Soviets, who stayed there until June 1941. After the Third Reich attacked the USSR, German soldiers settled there.

After the war, private property was expropriated. Temporarily, it housed warehouses and a kindergarten.

The facility provides services in the field of accommodation, organization of leisure, training, conference courses, Old Polish feasts, sumptuous banquets, intimate receptions, and catering.
