Church of the Ascension in Šmigovec - wooden Greek Catholic church (closed) of the parish of Šmigovec. It belongs to the Snina deanery in the Archieparchy of Presov of the Byzantine-Slovak Catholic Church.

The church was built in 1755 on a hill at the crossroads. Renovated in 1894 and 1936. In the 1950s it was converted into an Orthodox church, and in 1968 it returned to Greek Catholics. Since 1995, after the construction of the new church, it has not been used. In 2006, the iconostasis was reconstructed.

It is a small wooden church with a carcass construction, oriented on a stone foundation. A three-part structure: a chancel closed on three sides, a wider nave and a women's gallery with a low columned tower with straight walls, with a tented roof, ending with an onion-shaped bastion, and a metal cross. There were three bells in the tower, but they were moved to the new church. Single-ridge tin roof.

Inside, flat ceilings, plastered and whitewashed walls. The main altar with the icon of the Coronation of the Mother of God in the presbytery. A complete iconostasis from the 19th century has been preserved, with decorations from an older one, with a double tsarist gate with six medallions.
