Hucul horse stud in Regietów

Regietów is famous for the Hucul Horse Stud, which has its seat here (in November 2013 it was incorporated into the structures of the Kietrz Agricultural Combine). The center is developing very dynamically. We already have new breeding stables, an inn and a hotel. A breeding herd of Hutsul horses is growing (the largest in Poland and in Europe). Tourist traffic in the area of the stud is increasing day by day, interest in Hucul horses and horse tourism is growing. The stud welcomes more and more tourists from Poland and abroad, and this is associated with expanding the list of available attractions and services.

In 1984, a decision was made to build a horse stud in Gładyszów, and a year later the first batch of horses was transferred there. In 1988, there were 50 mares in the Siary Stud.

Due to unfavorable climatic conditions and poor soil quality, only those plants were cultivated there that were reasonably faithful to their yields under these difficult conditions. There was also a great difficulty in running a farm, where grassland, as it was mentioned before, amounted to 65% of agricultural land.

After the enterprise was taken over by the Agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury, works related to the transformation of the Siary Horse Stud began. In 2001, by the decision of the Agricultural Property Agency, the seat and partial breeding of horses was moved to Regietów to the former facilities of the Agricultural Cooperative, where two breeding stables, a barn, an indoor riding school and an inn were built, and in 2005 the hotel building "Gościniec Jaśmin" was put into use.
