Medar bee farm

The MEDAR beekeeping farm in Bardejov is a family business with traditions dating back to 2000. The first beekeeper in this family was the owner's grandfather, who was born in 2001.

In the given location there is a processing plant of honey obtained from bees from apiaries belonging to the MEDAR company, and located in the surrounding forests and meadows. The products are sold in the stores cooperating with the company. The company is dynamically developing both in terms of the number of bees and the variety of products, ranging from honey to propolis, herbal teas or even wax candles and cosmetics. In 2015, more than 700 bee colonies produce their products, which are then distributed at numerous points of sale in Slovakia. The last hit launched by the company on the market is "Honey from the mountain meadows", which has a unique taste, because it is made by bees working on flowery mountain pastures. The company has received numerous awards for the quality of its honeys, especially for BIO honeys, which are produced only in natural conditions.
