Monastery Museum

Monastery complex in Slovakia in the village of Czerwony Klasztor nad Dunajcem, on the border of the Pieniny and the Spiš Magura Mountains.

In 2007, the church was made available to tourists as part of the museum exhibition. The first exhibition in the monastery was established by the East Slovak Museum in Košice and was open to visitors on June 5, 1966. In the years 2001-2007, the Ľubovňa Museum from Stara Lubovna presented its exhibition in the monastery. Since 2008, visitors have access to the museum exhibition, which was established by the Monuments Office of the Slovak Republic and CYPRIAN, in cooperation with the East Slovak Museum.

Nowadays, apart from the museum, there is also a historic-style inn from the 18th century and a shop with hand-made souvenirs and monastic herbs. The facility also offers monastic accommodation.

Every year, the museum organizes several events, concerts, educational activities, lectures and the Cultural Monastery Summer, which is very popular for visitors, at the end of the Monastery Days season.
