Nestville Park

The reason for the creation of the Nestville park was the discovery during archaeological works on the outer bailey of the castle in Stara Lubovna. The oldest Slovak distillery was discovered here, operating in this place from around the middle of the 17th century. This information was confirmed by entries in the Hungarian geographic dictionary. Paradoxically, the distillery inspired the creation of one of the most interesting cultural parks in Slovakia. The remains of the oldest Slovak distillery are located under the castle, and a place was built in its vicinity referring to the achievements of past generations in order to preserve the traditions of the inhabitants of Northern Spiš and pass it on to today's citizens. Nestville Park is not only a cluster of distilleries where tourists taste and buy Slovak whiskey and other high-percentage products.

Nestville Park is a unique project that allows you to learn about the history of crafts that once existed in the Spisz area. Here we will see items and hear stories related to the old distillery. In order to make the region more attractive for tourists, next to places referring to the history of distilling, facilities producing top-class spirits were built.
