The open-air museum in Bardejov is the oldest of its kind in Slovakia.
The museum is located on the edge of a large spa park in Bardejowskie Kupele, about 5 km north of the city center of Bardejov. It was established in 1965 and is the oldest of its kind in Slovakia. Organizationally, it is part of the Šariš Museum in Bardejov. On an area of about 1.5 ha, it collects monuments of folk architecture, mainly wooden (24 objects in total), and other elements of material culture related to Carpathian Ruthenians and Slovak highlanders from upper Šariš and northern Zemplín .
4 groups of objects are represented in the museum:
Wooden log cabins of the carcass construction, including:
a Lemko cottage of a poor farmer from the village of Fricka from 1887;
a residential house on the foundation of a middle-class farmer from the village of Petrova from 1896;
a log, thatched cottage of a small farmer from the village of Malcov from 1899;
a log cabin, made of clay and covered with straw, of a farmer from the village of Kracunovce from the end of the 19th century.

3. Technical facilities:
a unique workshop with equipment for drilling wooden water pipes, from Bardejów, partly from the 18th century, partly from 1932.
fulling mill from the village of Livov for home-made cloth, from 1888, partially reconstructed in 1948;
a rural smithy from the village of Abrahamovce from the 1930s.
4. Sacred buildings:
belfry from the village of Nemcovce
chapel dedicated to St. John of Nepomuk from the second half of the 18th century;
All buildings are equipped with furniture, farm equipment and tools appropriate to the type and time of construction (operation) of the facility.
