Orthodox church of St. Kosma and Damian in Skwirtno

Former Lemko Greek Catholic church, located in Skwirtne, erected in 1837, after 1947 taken over by the Roman Catholic Church. Currently used as a branch church of the parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Uście Gorlickie.

Description: The temple is a Lemko church of the north-west type. It is considered a model example of a 19th-century church built in this style. The church was built of wood. It is a log structure, oriented, tripartite [2] . It was erected on a plan consisting of three rectangles similar to a square: the chancel, the nave wider than it, and the women's gallery. Each part of the building is covered with a separate roof.

The tower has a pole structure and completely covers the walls of the women's section. There is a canopy around the tower. The entire church, both the walls and the roof, is covered with shingles. The structure has tented roofs without bends, supplemented with ridge and topped with apparent polygonal lanterns. There are decorative crosses on the tops, each of them of a different shape. A tent-spherical helmet is placed above the tower. The nave and the presbytery are covered with apparent dome vaults, while in the women's gallery the ceiling is flat.

The temple is surrounded by a wooden fence with one gate.

The interior walls are decorated with architectural, ornamental and figural polychromes made around 1900. The architectural paintings on the walls imitate marble columns. On the nave ceiling , the Holy Trinity is depicted, and on the ceiling of the women's gallery, the Protection of the Mother of God . The music choir hangs along the walls of the women's section, and also partly along the walls of the nave in its western part. It is decorated with an arcaded balustrade .
