It has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List
The church in Powroźnik was erected in 1600. Only a part of the original building has survived, incorporated into the shape of the present church as a sacristy. The appearance of the church was formed between the 17th and 18th centuries, but the reconstruction in 1813 played a decisive role. The church was then moved from its former location to a slightly higher place, due to the risk of flooding. Then the sacred building was expanded. After the Operation "Vistula", the building was taken over by the Latin Church.
The Orthodox Church in Powróźnik is a Lemko three-part church. Above the vestibule there is a column-frame tower with a wooden dome and a forged cross. A bell made in 1615 has been preserved in the tower. The smaller tower is located above the nave, covered with a tented roof. The chancel is covered with a ridge roof and topped with a turret. It is the oldest part of the building .
The walls of the sacristy were covered with a valuable figural polychrome from 1607.
The rich equipment of the church is, among others. iconostasis from 1743–44. It is currently partially disassembled. Moreover, in the post-war period, the church received a baroque side altar from the 18th century with a painting of Christ at the Pole. In the temple we can find many other valuable icons, such as the Last Judgment from 1623.
In 2013, the church was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is located on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.
