Qua vadis sculpture gallery

The sculpture gallery in Tyrawa Wołoska is an exhibition of the works of an extraordinary artist - a Kresowiak who as a child survived the hardships of war, Bolshevik terror and Lager, in post-war Poland he settled in the recovered lands and only in his mature age found a place as if transferred from his childhood - Tyrawa Włołoska reminded him of the topography Droguń native in the Białystok region.

In Tyrawa Wołoska, one of the tourist attractions is the Quo Vadis sculpture gallery, which belongs to the famous artist Bogusław Iwanowski. In the sculptor's garden there are about 100 figures carved in oak, including 40 figures that make up the story of John Paul II "The Way of Life", on which he carved 27 cubic meters of wood.

In his rich collection, Iwanowski has three collections of sculptures related to the Polish Pope. The most interesting exhibitions also include the collection consisting of 74 reliefs depicting the kings of Poland and their coats of arms.

Pain, suffering and despair are a frequent theme in his works made of oak, walnut, beech or pear.

Mr. Bogusław exhibited his works, among others in Germany, France, Switzerland and the United States. Iwanowski's sculptures are in ethnographic museums and private collections in Poland and abroad.
