Self-government Museum of the Strzyżów Land Zygmunt Leśniak.

The origins of the museum date back to 1959. It was then that Zygmunt Leśniak, teacher of the Gymnasium and Secondary School in Strzyżów, began collecting collections, donated by students and their families.

Initially for the harvest a place was organized in the school basement . As a result of the quick acquisition of a large number of museum pieces, insufficient exhibition opportunities and unfavorable conditions for storing artefacts in damp cellar rooms, the collection was divided after a few years. The school organized a Memorial Room, thematically related to the history of education in Strzyżów, entrusting a large part of the collection to the care of the municipal authorities.

The museum facility was established by the resolution of the City Council in Strzyżów of July 1, 2011. It took over the collections, collected since 1959 by the Society of Strzyżów Enthusiasts and exhibited first in the Memorial Room located in the local high school, and from 1972 - in the Social Regional Museum of TMZS, located in the Dydyński Manor at ul. Modrzewiowa 1a.

In 2014, the collection was moved to a three-story tenement house at ul. Łukasiewicza 10, while its branches are located in the attic of the tenement house at Rynek 15 and in the Municipal Public Library (former Synagogue).

The collections include exhibits related to the history of Strzyżów - documents, military, numismatic items, memorabilia from World War II as well as the ethnography and material culture of the region - furniture, bibliophilia, handicrafts, agricultural tools, home appliances, and paintings and sculptures by local artists.

The facility also makes it possible to visit the former German railway bunker, built in 1940-41 and part of the "Anlage Süd" complex in the village of Stępina .
