This place may be of interest to people of all ages. On the area of 11 ha, there are 50 objects of folk architecture, including straw-covered huts, a mill, an inn and a wooden Orthodox church. The open-air ethnographic exhibition was opened in 1982. It shows the former living conditions of Ukrainians in this region. The open-air museum presents typical monuments of folk architecture from north-eastern Slovakia. There is also a village school in the open-air museum, where the children studied together in one class. There was also a modest teacher's room in the small building. It is worth visiting the open-air museum in Svidník to feel its original atmosphere. A visit to the museum allows you to almost go back in time. An additional advantage of the facility is its picturesque location amidst beautiful nature. Folklore events take place regularly in the nearby amphitheater. The most popular events are the Days of Culture of Slovak Ukrainians - Ruthenians (in June) and the Ruthenian Festival (in May).
