Sobień - a medieval castle at the mouth of the Adyszów stream to the San River, on the border of the Bukowski Foothills and the Słonne Mountains, currently in ruins in the village of Manasterzec.

The beginnings of the stronghold guarding the route along the San valley date back to the 13th century. At the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries (during the principality of Halych-Volyn), a brick castle was built here. He first appeared in documents as Soban , being royal property. In 1389 the castle was given by Władysław Jagiełło to the knightly family of Kmita.

Sobień Castle was destroyed in 1474 by the Hungarian army. In 1474, in retaliation for the damage done in Upper Hungary by Paweł Jasieński, Maciej Korwin led an expedition to Polish Ruthenia, reaching Nowy Sącz and Jasło. In 1512, the Hungarians destroyed the castle again. Soon after, the Kmita family moved their seat to Lesko, and the abandoned castle began to fall into ruin.

On the hill overgrown with forest, by the San River, there are fragments of defensive walls, remains of buildings and traces of the ramparts of the outer bailey.

The castle hill is an interesting natural object. The "Góra Sobień" reserve has existed here since 1970.
