The Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art.

The Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art in Medzilaborce was founded in 1991 as the first in the world entirely devoted to the creator and king of pop art. Today, the museum is a supra-regional museum and gallery institution dealing with current trends in contemporary art, and above all with the life and work of Andy Warhol. In interestingly arranged interiors, we can see what the roots of Andy Warhol's family looked like and see copies of his works, including those that made him famous all over the world, such as the image of the actress Marlin Monroe presented in various contrasting color versions. There was also a photo of the famous Campbell's soup, which, according to some, initiated a new field of modern art, i.e. pop art.

The museum presents not only the life and work of Andy Warhol, but also contemporary trends in art and culture, the influence of the artist's ethnic origin on his work, the influence of pop-art on art and related topics. The permanent exhibition related to Andy Warhol's Origin is the only one of its kind in Europe. It consists of valuable, authentic materials and artifacts related to Andy Warhol's life obtained or borrowed from the artist's surviving family and relatives, as well as documents and props that testify to his Ruthenian origin.
