Viewpoint in the Starry Sky Park

The Eagle Nest viewpoint with a spacious parking lot is located on the route of the Big Bieszczady Ring Road (loop) at the entrance to Lutowiska.

During the day, one of the most beautiful panoramas of the High Bieszczady, lying both on the Polish and Ukrainian side of the border, stretches out from here . The peaks are described on the information board.

A large parking lot for cars, motorbikes and coaches has been provided. The views can be admired from the binoculars installed at the highest point.

At night, in clear weather, you can watch a fantastic spectacle from this place with the Milky Way in the lead role. The Eagle's Nest viewpoint is an element of the Starry Heaven Park. The park is established as an area extending the protection of the dark sky in the International Biosphere Reserve "Eastern Carpathians" in Poland.

The total area of the park is 113,846.41 ha, including:

  • Bieszczady National Park - 29,200.48 ha,

  • San Valley Landscape Park - 33,480.24 ha,

  • Cisniańsko - Wetliński Landscape Park - 51,165.69 ha.

The Starry Sky Park, opened in Bieszczady, is the second largest protected sky area in Europe (after the Brecon Beacons International Dark Sky Reserve established in February 2013 in Great Britain) and the second largest park of this type in Poland.
