In 1792 a small Greek Catholic church was built on the slope above the village of Jalova. It was dedicated to St. the great martyr Juraj. The church belonged to the so-called "fur temples" because it was plastered and whitewashed.

It is a temple with a simple log structure, built on a stone foundation. It is a classic three-nave, three-part, two-tower church with two metal crosses. The main tower has a pillar structure and is finished with an onion on which a three-armed cross is mounted. The small tower above the presbytery also ends with a three-armed cross. Both the towers and the roof are shingled. The entrance is only on the west side. There are two bells in the main tower.

The iconostasis with icons on five floors comes from the 17th century. There are four main icons in the first row: St. Bishop Nicholas, Our Lady of Hodigitria, Christ and St. Great Martyr Juraj. An interesting fact about this iconostasis is that the icons of saints in the main row are placed perpendicularly to the iconostasis for spatial reasons. Below the main row on the partitions there are icons of St. Peter and Paul, the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Nicholas and Christ the High Priest. The tsarist doors are double-leaf with six medallions. The second level is the series of holidays and the third is the series of the apostles. In the center of the third row is the icon of Christ the High Priest. In the fourth row there are four medallions with pairs of prophets, which, however, are placed on the ceiling due to lack of space. The iconostasis is crowned with a cross and statues of the Mother of God and St. John the Evangelist.
