Spiskie belusze (Beľuše) - stuffed yeast dough


Ingredients:
• 1 kg of coarse flour
• 1 packet of yeast (42 g)
• 2 eggs
• 0.5 l of milk
• pinch of salt
• 0.5 teaspoons of sugar
• 1 kg of potatoes
• lard
• bryndza
• dry peppermint

Execution:
Mix the yeast with sugar in a small amount of milk. Sift the flour into a large bowl, add salt and eggs. Slowly add the yeast leaven and the remaining milk, knead the dough. Cover with a cloth and leave to rise for about half an hour. Meanwhile, cook the potatoes, knead them and add the fried bacon, sheep cheese, mint or chives. Stewing can also be sweet stewed cabbage, carrots, apples. Divide the dough in half, roll it out, put the potato stuffing on it and cover it with the second sheet of dough. Prick with a fork and brush with egg. Bake at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes. After baking, brush the dough with butter and sprinkle with sugar.
