Due to the fact that the Dolinian area is the least studied in relation to other ethnographic groups, there is a huge problem in identifying symbols. A distinctive phenomenon may be the Icon Trail through the San Valley and the exhibition of valley buildings at the Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok.

The Dolinian symbols are:

  • The rosette - engraved on the porter's beam in the room is a form of marking the beams, which had magical properties, was found in Boyko and Lemko and was called the "Carpathian rosette". Often surrounded by a rosette there was a symbol of a cross and a crescent. They are very well preserved in the valley buildings presented at the Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok.
  • Easter eggs are made by one creator, Teresa Podolak, and refer to old traditions

and

  • symbols related to the celebration of Christmas,
  • symbolism of the harvest ceremony,
  • symbolism of the traditional valley costume reconstructed by the San Valley LAG.
